On 01 November 2000 LINKnet started its services offering one to one support to BME individuals to achieve their personal goals in obtaining employment, accessing education and developing personal knowledge. The organisation also offered to aid other organisations in their activities to be more efficient, culturally sensitive, wide-spread and stand an equal footing. Throughout the six years of its life span, LINKnet has played a vital role in shaping the bigger picture for black minority ethnic people in particular and the Scottish population in general. Many statutory, public, voluntary and private institutions and recognised individuals have worked in collaboration with LINKnet in order to fulfil its mission. The organisation has helped develop lives of many people and its services are appreciated by all. All LINKnet services are free of charge.
