Led by Associate Director, Shamime, LINKnet holds a regular series of trips, events and workshops for its service users. All activities are all designed to stimulate education, recreation and leisure. Events help people, some of whom may feel lonely or isolated, to socialise and make new friends, connect with different communities, practise their English and find out more about Scotland’s, culture and history.

The team are committed to putting on ten events a year, but they always exceed that number. In 2025, there were thirteen events, all supported and accompanied by a member of staff and an event volunteer.
