Join the 'Eat Well for Oral Health' Train the Trainer Session
 

Edinburgh Community Food and LINKnet Mentoring are excited to announce our upcoming "Eat Well for Oral Health" Train the Trainer session, which will be delivered online. This pilot course is a foundation for future training opportunities.

About the Program

“Eat Well for Oral Health” is a community-based initiative aimed at improving oral health for those affected by socio-economic and racial inequalities in Edinburgh, the Lothians, and beyond.

Benefits of the Training

Participants will:

  • Understand the basics of nutrition and oral health.

  • Gain practical knowledge for use at work and home.

  • Learn how diet impacts health and disease.

  • Explore healthy food preparation and cooking methods.

  • Learn to read and understand food labels.


Who Should Attend?

This course is perfect for:

  • Community workers and volunteers focused on reducing health inequalities ,and interested in nutrition and oral health.

  • People involved in food handling or preparation.
     

Course Content

The course will cover:

  • Evidence-based nutrition basics.

  • Key oral health messages.

  • Weaning advice.

  • Support for fussy eating.

  • Tips for running a cooking group.

  • Further training opportunities, including NES Oral Health Digital Badges.
