  • Volunteer placements are limited to six months to ensure opportunities are available to others

Why Volunteer with us?

Many minority ethnic people face barriers to employment due to a lack of UK work experience. Without experience, it is difficult to secure a job — and without a job, it is difficult to gain experience. This creates a “catch-22” situation.

LINKnet addresses this challenge by offering structured volunteer opportunities that enable participants to gain UK work experience while developing valuable skills and confidence.

Case Study: Wafaa

“When I first visited the LINKnet office, I found the staff friendly and very supportive. They answered all my questions and helped me find a suitable class. I was also offered a volunteer role in the office, which helped me gain valuable skills, especially front-of-house experience. This enabled me to secure employment as an Outreach Development Officer.”
