Eat Well for Oral Health
LINKnet Mentoring Ltd. and Edinburgh Community Food have partnered to deliver a community-based food skills and nutrition project – Eat Well for Oral Health – to drive oral health improvements for all living in vulnerable circumstances and affected by socio-economic and race inequalities. It is designed to improve child, family and targeted communities’ oral health by developing knowledge, skills and confidence around cooking, diet and nutrition – and how these impact on oral health – using a community-based approach.
Edinburgh Community Food and LINKnet Mentoring are the lead partners responsible for the delivery of Eat Well for Oral Health, overseen by NHS Lothian’s Health Improvement Team and with regular involvement of other Boards’ Health Improvement Teams. The Scottish Government provides overall governance and funding. The project delivers training and support to community workers to enable scale and spread across other parts of Scotland.
